GOOD SAVES
Accidents don’t have to happen. Most workplace incidents are preventable when we learn to notice risks early. We designed and developed a global e-learning solution to raise awareness of Good Saves—a workplace safety concept that shifts the focus from reacting to incidents to preventing them.
A project designed with and for Johnson and Johnson.
The challenge
Design a learning strategy to increase awareness, recognition, and reporting of Good Saves in order to prevent incidents and strengthen workplace safety culture.
Performance objectives
After completing the learning experience, employees will identify and report potential safety risks during daily work activities, resulting in earlier intervention and a measurable reduction in workplace incidents.
Learning objectives
-
Recognize potential unsafe behaviors, conditions, and near misses in the workplace.
-
Understand the Good Saves concept and its role in preventing incidents.
-
Report Good Saves correctly to support proactive workplace safety.
When office safety is taken for granted
Companies are responsible for providing a safe work environment by reducing risk factors and continuously raising employee awareness of their role in accident prevention. However, simply delivering an e-learning that explains what Good Saves are or lists common office risks is not enough to change behavior. Meaningful prevention requires learning experiences that actively engage employees and influence how they think and act at work.

Listen to the following situation at an office and identify the factors that contributed to the incident.
F A C T:
The leading cause for accidents at the office are slips, trips, and falls.

What makes experiences memorable?
Grabbing an employees attention is already difficult enough, specially when learning and safety fall behind other priorities that their job demands.
Humor, on the other hand, has a way to grab other's attention and retain information by linking experience with emotion and relatability.

The result
We crafted a multi-channel learning strategy that combined a short, interactive e-learning to introduce the Good Saves concept and reporting process, a series of TikTok-inspired micro-videos shared via Viva Engage, and a virtual background designed to continuously reinforce employees’ role in maintaining office safety.
01.
Interactive micro-learning
A concise e-learning designed to explain Good Saves and walk learners through how to report them to the workplace safety team.

TikTok-inspired videos
02.
To capture attention and build awareness of Good Saves, we produced fun, bite-sized videos that dramatize everyday unsafe situations.
Virtual background
03.
Upon completion, learners unlocked a virtual background to continue reinforcing their role in workplace safety.

WCAG accessibility
We apply high accessibility standards to ensure our trainings are inclusive for all learners: audio, transcripts, keyboard navigation, and alt text are essential for a smooth experience.
AI- generated images
We leveraged GenAI tools to create high-quality, realistic visuals that illustrate unsafe situations without putting anyone at risk.

More is more
Learning is not a single-asset solution; it requires repetition, multiple channels, and diverse narratives to truly stick.
Key takeaways
Humor nudges
Humor is a powerful tool in education because it links learning with emotion, making it unforgettable.
It doesn't need to end
Don’t let learning stop at the ‘Exit’ button—end with something interactive to extend its impact.
